바로 내로남불이라고 하지요.

 

내로남불로 비슷한 영어 표현은 double standard라고 해요. double은 “두 가지로 해석할 수 있는, 애매[모호]한; 남을 속이는, 표리가 있는; 위선적인”을 의미하는 영어 단어이고, standard는 “기준, 표준, 수준”이라는 뜻이 있는 단어지요.

 

말 그대로 직역하면 double standard는 “이중잣대”가 되겠네요.
